This commission focuses is all about working collaboratively on creating a large scale textile piece, drawing inspiration by Rochdale’s textile heritage. Young Creators aged 11-19 will lead this project. The textile piece will not only be a piece of art but also a way to divide up a space in the TDR space, where we can have different activities and workshops, including those for schools. Our artist Ibukun will participate in a ‘sharing day’ led by young people involved in the redevelopment, sharing insights gained into the artwork’s development. The Young Curators’ sharing day is intended for peers, friends, and family.
