Family Walks and Rides
Whilst we understand that moving your body on the school run is the best start to the day we appreciate it’s not possible for everyone. We can work with your school calendar to put on some family walks and/or rides in the local area. We can help groups to travel from school to local events and attractions without needing the car.
Family walk from £80
Family bike ride £110
School travel assistance £20 per hour per staff member
Road Safety Information
We all know that are potential dangers associated with everything we do but here at Your Trust we believe that the benefits to active travel and moving your body more far outweigh the risks. We can help your KS2 pupils understand the risks and how to minimise them with classroom based and practical sessions as well as helping your year sixes think about their new journeys during high school transition.
Up to 4 one hour sessions in a day for £160
Learn to Ride
The balance bike sessions listed above are aimed at the very youngest kids in school but we are aware that some of the bigger children might have missed out on learning to ride a two wheeler. Aimed at Yrs 2-6 we can work with groups of up to 6 pupils to help them get started with their cycling journey, by removing the pedals on standard bikes we are able to emulate the balance bike learning process and support individuals to master riding. Bikes can be provided.
3 x 1.5 hour sessions per day for £330
Bikeability Prep/Bike Games
As a follow on to this we are able to offer some confidence building sessions for yr 3 – 5 to get them ready to make the most of their Bikeability opportunity. We will tailor the sessions to the different age groups and work on the playground, playing games and setting challenges to ensure that as many of your pupils as possible are ready to ride on the road when BikeRight! visit school.
Up to 4 one hour sessions per day,
8 children per session for £160
Walking Buses
We can support school with setting up a walking bus. This includes either one day a week for half of a term or a two week intensive intervention with 2 places on a walk leader course for any staff or volunteer wanting to carry on the project.
1 day per week for half of a term £385
2 week intensive £535
Dr Bike Sessions
Do you think the condition of your pupils bikes is holding them back? If so we can come into school and offer a free bike service and basic repairs for all the children bikes. Our Cytec (or equivalent) qualified mechanic will set up in the corner of the playground and check each bike to make sure it is in good working order to be ridden. The mechanic will bring spares and tools and any minor repairs and adjustments can be made on the day, anything more serious will be reported to the parents with some ideas of how and where to get it fixed.
