Inclusive Cycling
Unfortunately our Inclusive Cycling is currently suspended after the theft of our bikes and equipment. We are working to repair and replace things, and we will update our webpage here once we are able to run sessions again.
The inclusive cycling programme runs in the beautiful surroundings of Bowlee Community Park.
These sessions allow everyone to enjoy the experience of cycling in the way most appropriate to them, using a variety of bicycles, tricycles, tandems, handcycles, and specially adapted bikes for carrying wheelchairs and passengers.
Sessions offer physical health benefits and psychological and emotional benefits, providing a sense of achievement and a way for everyone to participate in a popular activity enjoyed by so many adults and children, and to have fun while doing so.
Our team are highly qualified, and have the knowledge to help each individual to participate in the way most safe and appropriate for them, selecting the correct cycle for them and offering advice and support in how to use it while adapting for any disabilities, physical restrictions or health conditions that an individual may have.
Sessions must be pre-booked.
Once sessions are available, details and booking information will be added here.

Swimming
We are aware that people want to access the pool at times that are convenient to them, rather than having to attend a segregated session. All of our public swim sessions are open to people with disabilities, and our staff will be happy to assist you to enter and exit the pool via the pool hoist system at any public swim session.
Our access guides have more information on what is available at each site.
Please note, we cannot provide any individual supervision or instruction at a public swim, as our leisure attendants have to watch the whole pool and cannot stay near an individual. If you require supervision or support in the water than we ask that you attend with a friend, family member or carer/support worker as appropriate. If you require instruction then we advise you to contact our swimming lesson team.
If you would like to discuss swimming, or any element of access to our centres, then you can contact the centre teams directly, or for more specialist support you can contact our Inclusion Lead Catherine by emailing inclusion@yourtrustrochdale.co.uk or call her on 01706 926276.
