Celebrating National Apprentice Week 2025

This week (10–16 February) marks National Apprentice Week, a time to celebrate the incredible contributions of apprentices across the country. Here at Your Trust, we are especially proud of our talented apprentices, who were selected from over 120 applicants and 45 interviews for their passion for sports, leisure, and working with young people.
Our 18-month apprenticeship programme, delivered through Coach Core with education provided by Lifetime Training, offers a well-rounded experience in both leisure and community development. Apprentices spend six months in each area before a final placement is chosen at the 12-month mark, ensuring they gain valuable skills in different settings.
- In leisure, they take on front-of-house reception work, gym duties, poolside responsibilities, and leisure attendant roles.
- In development, they work in primary and secondary schools, as well as in community sports sessions, helping to inspire the next generation.
Throughout their apprenticeship, they work towards achieving Level 2 Community Activator Apprenticeship Award and Community Sports Leaders Level 2 Award. Some will also gain NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) and Gym Instructor Level 2 Qualification.
We’re incredibly proud of the progress they’ve made so far, they have been making a real impact, whether based at our leisure centres or working within the community. We have shared some of their achievements below.
