The Thermal Suite at Rochdale Leisure Centre will undergo a major renovation that will split the existing space into two separate areas (shown in the diagram below), both containing a sauna and steam room, as well as upgrading the interior and the shower facilities.

The two spaces will allow for more flexible and inclusive programming with two sessions taking place at the same time, and giving greater flexibility to suit the needs of our user groups.

The Thermal Suite will be closed from Monday 7 April, re-opening Monday 2 June to enable the works to be completed.

Thank you to everyone that gave their feedback during the consultation period.

Thermal Suite Layout

The image shows the current floor plan of the thermal suite area at Rochdale Leisure Centre. The diagram is marked with two blue lines (one dark blue, one light blue) to show the proposed boundaries of the area when it is split in two to create two separate areas that will both contain a sauna, steam room, showers and changing area.

Thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time.
