In 2022, with artist Harry Meadley, we hosted Free-for-All at Touchstones Art Gallery & Museum – a community exhibition with events brought together by the people of Rochdale, giving our community complete access to use Touchstones’ spaces. From dog days to pride events, the project filled our gallery spaces with joy, community and creativity over the summer. We are currently reimagining this project for a new iteration of Free-for-All named Side-by-Side.
Brief
We are seeking two Creative Producers to help bring Side-by-Side, a community festival planned for August 2025, to life. The project engages those at risk of loneliness by collaborating with Rochdale Borough Council, local community groups, and Creative Lead Harry Meadley. The programme will include theatre, music, workshops, and talks, held in a temporary gallery across public spaces like parks and community centres. Producers will work closely with local groups to shape ideas and activities, requiring strong creativity, passion for inclusion, and commitment to arts and culture.
