Locker Update

We’re aware that several of our lockers are currently out of use due to the need for new locks. Unfortunately, some users have been taking the locker keys with them, turning them into ‘personal lockers’. To resolve this, we’ve reached out to a company that specialises in servicing all of our lockers, including those that are locked. We placed an order back in July to address the issue, but as the locking mechanisms are manufactured in Switzerland, the process is taking longer than anticipated.

However, we can confirm that we’re switching the dry changing room lockers to padlocks instead of keys. We hope this will help prevent misuse and ensure more lockers are available for everyone.

Essential Companions Scheme

The Essential Companion Scheme aims to provide an accessible and inclusive facility for all events taking place at Middleton Arena and Heywood Civic Centre. The scheme is offered to those who require a companion to assist them in accessing the facilities to ensure the safety and enjoyment at live events.

Where to find us

Middleton Arena is located two minutes from the town centre, bus station and additional pay and display car parking. By car, Middleton is approx five minutes from the M60 (Junction 19) and the M62 (Junction 19) and 15 minutes from Manchester City Centre.

By Train: The closest railway station to Middleton Arena is Mills Hill (approx. 1.5 miles). Local taxis are available and the number 59 bus travels between the station and Middleton. The TFGM bus timetable for services to and from Rochdale to Middleton Bus Station is available here
