Resilient Roch

A fun and interactive stall showcasing the Resilient Roch project—a council-led climate resilience initiative focused on reducing flood risk and improving home energy efficiency. Kids can enjoy engaging activities that teach them about saving water and energy.

Local Studies Touchstones

Discover the rich history of our local environment with materials on rivers, wind turbines, and water power.

Learning Through Nature

Try your hand at Kokedama, the Japanese art of making beautiful moss ball planters.

M6 Theatre – The Storm Film & Activity

Experience The Storm, a powerful film set in the year 2050, where climate change has drastically reshaped the world. Join Frankie and her family as they navigate unpredictable weather and resource shortages. Accompanying activities will spark discussions and deepen understanding of the Climate Emergency.

  • Printmaking Activity – Unleash your creativity with this interactive printmaking workshop.

Environmental Management – Make Your Own Seed Bombs

Spin the Wheel with Rochdale Borough Council

Visit the Policy, Performance & Improvement Team stand for a fun, interactive activity!  Spin the wheel and discover more about the council’s renewable energy projects and sustainability efforts.

Petrus Charity – Information Stall & Planting Activity

Visit the stall to learn about Petrus who provide residential and day support for people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, offering a safe space to develop skills, build independence, and create positive change.

Rochdale Science Initiative

Rochdale Science Initiative will be bringing an exciting Recycling Adventure with hands-on activities, including:

Jellyfish Creations – Turn recycled plastic bottles into beautiful sea creatures

Microplastics Under the Microscope – Discover the tiny world of plastic pollution

Recycled Rocket Launch – Make and launch rockets from film canisters

Upcycled E-Waste Instruments – Explore music made from repurposed electronics

Walk the Plank

Meet Walk the Plank’s majestic Magpie, The Collector. 

Clever and curious, The Collector stands tall and proud, adorned with a patchwork of vibrant fabrics and textures. Mounted on a custom bicycle, ensuring they can reach every nook and cranny, The Collector and it’s whimsical and wonderful puppeteer is ready to play and show off all its hidden treasures.  

Come and discover what shiny objects that this mobile Magpie has collected on its journeys, hoarded within its nest.
