Youth Sailing Stage 1 & 2 Course (2 Day)
The Youth Sailing Stage 1 course is run over two days from 10am to 4pm and is designed to teach children aged 8 years (or Year 3 Primary school) to 14 years old some of the basic skills needed to sail a small dinghy. You will cover various sailing techniques including controlling speed, turning the boat and capsize recovery and learn some basic sailing theory such as rules of the road, rigging and basic wind awareness. By the end of the course you will have a range of sailing skills and background knowledge and will be well on the way to becoming a confident and independent sailor and have the skills required to join the advanced sailing squad.
